Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions aren’t meant to cause any damage to the natural eyelashes, they are used to enhance our eyelash desires. Eyelash extensions are dipped into the eyelash extension adhesive in order to apply them onto natural eyelashes, which usually on average takes about 2-3 hours for desired fullness of eyelashes & also depending on the service that is scheduled.

The maintenance of eyelash extensions is to keep them clean daily by giving yourself lash baths once daily & scheduling your appointments on time. The risk of not keeping them clean can lead to eye infections. Please do not wait 24 hours to wash them, it is recommended to wash them as soon as possible after appointment is finished.

STEPS TO WASH LASH EXTENSIONS:

  1. Get lash extensions wet with distilled water.

  2. Shake the lash shampoo bottle until it is foamy.

  3. Pump lash shampoo once onto each eyelid, you can do both or one at a time.

  4. Brush lash shampoo thoroughly through extensions with a lash spoolie or another type of brush, as long as you get in there and really clean them. (remember you are not hurting them, you are helping them, clean lashes are key to retention, and the extensions that will fall off will be because of natural lash cycle growth.)

  5. Rinse off with water.

  6. Pat dry, brush them throughout and fan them until dry, please do not dry them with hair blowdryers on hot mode (it will affect the curl of your extensions.)

If you are in need of lash shampoo, the technician has eyelash after-care kits available for purchase.

THINGS NOT TO DO WITH LASHES:

  • No mascara at all, it’s okay on bottoms but not on extensions

  • Do not pull or twist on extensions, this will cause damage to natural lashes & can cause permanent damage.

  • Only use eyelash extension shampoo to wash them.

  • Only dry with regular fan, not a hot blow drier.

  • Do not curl with eyelash curler.

  • Do not apply lash strips on top.

please ask technician if you have any questions, & pleasee make sure to wash your lashes everyday to avoid dirty lashes.

Process of procedure for applying lash extensions:

  1. We start off by washing the extensions/natural lashes with lash shampoo, rinse, and dry.

  2. Then we place the under-eye pads on the bottom lashes and place tape as well by the eye waterline to secure those bottom lashes.

  3. We then map out the type of style on the pads that the client desires, writing down the extension sizes.

  4. Next, we remove any outgrown extensions if it’s a fill-in.

  5. We apply eyelash primer to the lashes.

  6. Then we get started applying for the extensions.

  7. Once we’re done applying for the extensions, we can go ahead and check for any stuck ones & apply bonder and apply mist as well.

  8. We can then start removing the tape/ eye pads.

  9. Then we can let the client know they can start opening their eyes, as the fan is on.

After the appointment: You can wash your lashes the same day, you do not have to wait 24 hours in order to wash them. Avoid using oil-based products around the eyes or on the eyes. No sleeping on your face. Do not rub your eyes or twist lash extensions.

Again if you have any questions/concerns please contact the technician through the contact section.

Eyebrow Lamination

Eyebrow lamination involves a “perm” process for eyebrow hairs to provide a fuller, more even look. It also helps brow hairs to stay as brushed, your desired way for the entire day & the lamination lasts up to 6-8 weeks. It is always required to keep them moisturized & brushed daily for the best results & long-lasting. It is safe to apply makeup onto laminated brows.

Process of brow lamination procedure:

  1. We will begin by cleaning the brows.

  2. Adding moisturizer around the brows.

  3. Then the “lifting” cream will be applied, brushed upwards, and then we put plastic wrap onto the brows to let sit for up to 10 minutes then we can go ahead and clean them off.

  4. The second cream “ neutralizer“ will be applied to help seal the brows into place & again we add plastic wrap and let sit for up to 10 minutes, brushed upwards, and clean off the brows again.

  5. Next, these are services we can add on such as:

    • Shaping up the brows by waxing or tweezing the extra little hairs around.

    • Brow tint to enhance the color of your brows.

  6. The last step will be adding a nourishing oil to help prevent hair irritation & skin dryness that may be caused by the chemicals used during the perm.

AFTERCARE:

For brow lamination, it will be to ALWAYS keep them MOISTURIZED for the best-looking results, as they tend to get dry sometimes on their own or during sleeping time and when this occurs the brow hairs get curly- to fix this issue you can add moisturizer to them and let them sit for a few minutes then brush into desired way and do this daily.

Moisturizers to use:

  • Vaseline

  • Aquaphor

  • Castor oil

  • Lash serum

I personally like to apply both Vaseline & castor oil but you can decide for your self! Lash serum also works wonders.
